A Wheeler (They/Them) is a neuroscientist and public health practitioner in training. They graduated from Drake University in 2020 with a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. They are pursuing their Master’s in Public Health and will graduate in May 2026.
A is passionate about mental health advocacy and education – with a focus on the autistic community and all things related to dissociative identity disorder (DID). As an individual with DID, they have seen the many myths and lack of education surrounding the disorder and want to share from a personal and scientific perspective what DID really is. In addition to public health, A is a filmmaker and co-owner of The Murder Associates Productions – an indie company that focuses on queer storytelling and uplifting queer artists. A has a passion for queer horror and the ways horror can help us process and heal.
